the Sprouts story
Where did Sprouts do just that... Sprout?
After overcoming a four year battle with infertility, owner Christine Stewart and her husband welcomed a beautiful little girl in the spring of 2005. "We signed up for every class on the market! We were swimmers, groovers, eaters and artists! Soon we were tripping over the latest and greatest gear on the market, right in our own living room!" Often exhausted from running from one end of the city to the other for a program that just seemed to be missing something...the idea of Sprouts was hatched. After finding out they were expecting a second child, they realized that they were quickly outgrowing their tiny home. Moving to a small town further solidified the need to offer quality mobile programs to parents and caregivers throughout the region, offering accessibility for all residents.
Sprouts wants to give parents the opportunity to learn the "art of story telling" not just reading to their children. Sprouts wants to inspire children and their parents to imagine, to pretend and most importantly to laugh everyday. To sing a song regardless of their version of the tune or even if they get the words right!
Sprouts wants Moms and Dads to break away from everyday foods that we ate as kids and inspire good eating habits and exciting palates. Sprouts will strive to help parents understand their roles and that of their children, turning the frustrating moments into ah ha moments of understanding. Sprouts wants the isolated parent to meet new friends and their children to have friends of their own.
Sprouts has the drive to give a pre-verbal baby the ability to communicate and the parent the knowledge to teach. Being a parent is stressful enough without having to worry about the needs of a baby. When they have the ability to communicate at such a young age, moments of frustration are lessened by both parent and child, making daily interactions more enjoyable for both.
Sprouts brings together the "whole self" approach to parenting, offering programs that are not only beneficial to the child but also meet the needs of the caregiver. As parents we are often so absorbed in the needs of our children that we forget about our own needs, sprouts programs strives to meet all of your needs.
